UAL Study Abroad Semester Awards
3 full tuition awards
UAL Study Abroad awards are available for the UAL Study Abroad Semester.
There are 3 full tuition awards available.
- 1 for Central Saint Martins
- 1 for London College of Communication
- 1 for London College of Fashion
We are looking for students who will be able to create social media content and blogs of their time with us as a Study Abroad Student.
How to apply
Create a video that would be suitable for social media (no longer than 90 seconds), with a 200 word supporting statement:
Why I want to Study Abroad at UAL and what I hope to achieve?
Be as creative as you like! Imagine it being presented on our Instagram Account.
Please email your entry to studyabroadoffice@arts.ac.uk with your full name and the course title in the subject line.
Successful applicants will:
- have their full tuition fee paid
- need to write at least one story/blog post during their time at UAL
- create video content for our social media channels
- help us provide fun content.
Deadlines
30 May for the Autumn term.
31 October for the Spring term.
Eligibility to apply
You must have been accepted onto a UAL Study Abroad Semester programme at UAL and be enrolled on an undergraduate degree programme outside the UK.
UAL Integrated Study Abroad Awards
4 awards of £1,500 each
4 Study Abroad awards are available to students on Integrated programmes.
We are looking for students who will create social media content and blogs of their time with us as a Study Abroad Student. In exchange, you will receive one award of £1,500.

Summer Study Abroad Award
Tuition-fee waiver
We offer one Summer Study Abroad Award, a tuition fee waiver for a 3 week course.
To apply for the Summer Study Abroad Award, you must hold an offer for 1 of our 3 week Summer Study Abroad 2024 courses.

Eligibility
To be eligible, you must be 18 years or older, hold an offer to join 1 of our 3 week Summer Study Abroad courses, and be enrolled on an undergraduate degree programme outside the UK.
- The award covers the tuition-fee only and depends on you successfully enrolling for the course. Our cancellation policy still applies.
US financial aid and funding
All 6 Colleges of University of the Arts London are Title IV Registered. Eligible students who enrol on a semester programme here can continue to take out financial aid via their home institution.
Study Abroad students are not eligible to receive US Federal or private loans through our institution.
Should you wish to take out a US loan, please contact the Financial Aid Office at your home institution. University of the Arts London is able to enter into a consortium agreement and this should be arranged via your home institution.

Alternative scholarships and funding
There are a number of other scholarships available to assist you with studying abroad. Go Overseas provides a variety of options for study abroad students.
The Benjamin A Gilman International Scholarship Program is for US undergraduate students of limited financial means.
BUTEX (British Universities Transatlantic Exchange Association) offers a scholarship for students holding an offer for an Integrated or Semester Study Abroad programme at UAL. The value of each scholarship is £500.

LCF Semester Study Abroad
Bespoke 14 week LCF semester programmes designed especially for incoming study abroad students.
Summer Study Abroad
Study for up to 8 weeks on one of our summer programmes with the option to take English language tuition before your course.
Optional Study Abroad Module
Add on the Creative Industries London 3 week optional module. Fits with J-Term and Maymester.
