How to pay your tuition fees

Hello again. In this video, we will be looking at how to complete the Feed Details section. We'll cover the different options available for confirming funding, fee payment through Flywire, as well as options for postgraduate students to pay their fees in instalments. Depending on which of these is relevant to you, you can use the timestamps in the video to jump to the right section.

When you open the Feed Details section, you'll see confirmation of your tuition fee amount and if there are any outstanding payments to be made. If you are receiving funding, such as a student loan or government loan, you can select the type from the dropdown menu. For example, if you're a UK undergraduate student with a government student finance loan, you'll need to select SLC/SAAS loan, select Add Source, and then upload a proof of your funding. This can be a screenshot from the student finance portal showing that you've applied, a copy of your application form, or your entitlement breakdown letter. Remember to include your student ID number at the start of the file name for anything you upload.

If you're receiving funding from another source, such as an external sponsor or a UAL scholarship, you will need to select that option from the dropdown menu, click Add Source, enter the funding amount, provide information on who the sponsor is, and then upload a sponsorship letter. If you are receiving a postgraduate loan, you should select other government loan and click Add Source. Again, please specify the amount. And in the loan type, you can select Postgraduate Loan or another type of loan. You can then upload proof of your loan approval or application.

If you need to make a direct payment for your fees, this option can be found at the bottom of the Fee Details page. You'll see the details of your tuition and fees and the payment due date. Select Pay Now, and that will take you to the payment service Flywire where you can confirm your details and complete your payment.

Flywire is our trusted payment partner and a secure way to pay your fees from anywhere in the world. If you are not with the person making the payment, you can still upload your details. And then in Flywire there is an option to share the payment details. You'll get a link to send to the person who will then make the payment. Once you've made the payment in Flywire, there will be a button to take you back to the UAL portal where you will see the payment listed, and the amount due should be zero.

If you're a postgraduate student, your tuition fee is broken down into instalment amounts with different due dates. You can select if you are receiving funding or if you need to make direct payments. If you have a government loan, the payment schedule will match the payment dates on your loan entitlement letter.

If you're making a direct payment, you can pay all the instalments right now or deselect those you aren't paying today. Click Pay Now, and it will take you through the Flywire process to complete the payment for the selected instalments. Use the timestamps in the video to go back to the previous section, which explains how to pay through Flywire. If you choose to pay in instalments, be sure to make a note of the payment due dates.
