We design and award creative qualifications that empower and inspire educators to help students reach their potential.
UAL Awarding Body is regulated by Ofqual, CCEA Regulation and Qualifications Wales. We currently offer qualifications in art and design, fashion, creative media, music and performing and production arts. We are also the UK’s largest provider of the Foundation Diploma in Art and Design qualification.
Our qualifications have high retention and achievement rates because they are flexible, responsive and relevant to industry needs, and facilitate student progression.

UAL Awarding Body is made up of 7 teams, each one able to help you with different queries. Find the best team to contact using the information below.
Our switchboard is open during office hours, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. The switchboard number is 020 7514 8881.
Please note: as the awarding body, we create, award, and quality assure only our further education pre-degree qualifications. UAL Awarding Body does not have access to higher education BA or MA degree registration or result information. If you wish to study any of our pre-degree qualifications, please contact your local further education provider. If you wish to study at BA or MA degree at UAL, please contact the UAL College you would like to attend.

Centre approvals

Events

We offer digital and in-person events ranging from CPD workshops to delivery groups, standardisation events and Origins Creatives.

Operations
For queries about the online portal, registering students, submitting results, claiming certificates, requesting grade confirmations or replacement certificates and centre contact point administration.
The operations team manage, maintain and develop operational systems and processes that support UAL Awarding Body’s core business, from student registration through moderation to certification. They also provide operational information to centre staff and external moderators.

Academic standards

Our Academic Standards team provide advice, subject knowledge and academic input to the design, development, delivery and assessment of UAL Awarding Body qualifications.

Finance

Qualifications development
For queries regarding our qualification developments, UCAS, funding or performance tables.
The qualification development team creates, reviews and redevelops qualifications. We also provide information on education policy, UCAS tariff points, funding and performance tables.

Quality assurance and enhancement
The Quality Assurance and Enhancement team advises on all matters relating to quality assurance, regulatory compliance and manages policies relating to Complaints, Appeals, Reasonable Adjustments, Special Consideration. The team also undertakes investigations relating to malpractice and maladministration, and GDPR compliance. It is also responsible for the mandatory approved centre Annual Quality Management Return (AQMR) and Stage 2 of the centre approvals process.
